
Loras College junior, Daniel Randolph (Perry, IA), has been selected for the UWIRE Top 100 List, representing an elite crop of aspiring media professionals.
UWIRE, a free membership organization for college student media, announced today the second annual UWIRE 100, which honors the nation’s top collegiate journalists.
The UWIRE 100, including Daniel Randolph were selected from more than 825 nominations — representing students from more than 135 schools — submitted by professionals, students and educators. A UWIRE panel evaluated each candidate based on demonstrated excellence in the field of collegiate journalism.
Daniel was nominated because of his strong passion and talent for digital integration of news content and development the website LCTV13.com. Along with Daniel’s role of web developer and editor of lctv13.com, he’s received many accolades for his digital photography, as featured in The Lorian. Most recently, Daniel traveled with his J-term class to Germany to produce a documentary on the Holocaust. He played a significant role as lead producer/photographer/editor.
