
Loras College first year student, Felicia Carner (Maquoketa, IA) has been selected to receive the Quarton-McElroy Iowa Broadcast Association Scholarship in the amount of $4,000 (annually renewable) to support her continuing education in broadcast journalism.
Since 1973, the IBA has been providing broadcast scholarships to qualified Iowa students through Q-MAC/IBA Endowment fund of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation. The scholarship program provides recognition and financial assistance to deserving Iowa college students seeking broadcast careers. Each scholarship of up to $4,000 per year is awarded to Iowa college students. The scholarship may be used at any of the approved Iowa colleges or universities to pursue an education in broadcasting - electronic media, communication arts, broadcast production or broadcast journalism. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on their academic performance, recommendations, reflective essay, as well as financial need.
